EPWarmfloor, underfloor heating specialists, are delighted to be sponsoring F3 driver Bart Horsten.

Bart Horsten is an Australian driver who is competing in the 2020 BRDC British F3 Championship with Lanan Racing. This is Bart’s second year of racing in the United Kingdom and his second full season of racing in single-seaters. His goal is to race in Formula 1.

In 2019 Bart and his family moved from their home in Australia to the UK so that he could continue his career. He joined Arden Motorsport and competed in the British F4 Championship, finishing in fifth place with 10 podiums.

“It has been an amazing and eye-opening experience to race on iconic British tracks against some of the best open-wheeler teams and drivers in the world and I look forward to working closely with the whole Lanan Racing team this year to achieve the best possible results.”

Bart has always had a passion for motorsport and the companies and drivers associated with this amazing sport. “As a child, I loved to spend my time playing with slot cars and racing games and reading books about manufacturers, drivers, cars and teams.

“I began karting in 2010 on a family holiday in Europe and the UK, where I took part in some sessions at Buckmore Park, in Kent. On our return to Australia, I joined the Tiger Kart Club in my hometown of Perth and I went on to compete in races and series throughout Western Australia.

Bart began racing in single-seaters in 2017 and in 2018 he took part in the majority of rounds in the Australian Formula Ford Championship, taking three podiums at the Wakefield Park round in New South Wales. 

“My goal is to continue to improve on every aspect of my driving so I can come closer to achieving my dream of racing in F1. This year I am hoping to go one better in every way, with more podiums and wins in the championship. It will be tough as the field is very competitive but I am looking forward to the challenge.”
